Supergroove…ah the memories
A recent discussion on the BV Forum asked what live music people have seen. I don’t see much live music anymore but I used to in my late teens to mid 20s. I remembered that I’d seen a Kiwi funk band called Supergroove a few times and loved them. They split up in 1997 but got back together last year, with a slightly different lineup. They were awesome live, something you can’t tell by their CD or videos. Here is their biggest hit “Can’t Get Enough”:
And the same song live (not great quality but you get the idea):
If they came to Melb again I’d definitely see them.
Freaky!
Yesterday in the work lunch room I was chatting with a colleague about getting cramps and how sometimes I get them in the middle of the night whilst asleep. I then mentioned that on a few occasions I had gotten either a thigh cramp or calf cramp whilst cycling. After saying that I went to stand up to wash my dishes. As I did I got a thigh cramp!! It didn’t last long but it hurt…
Co-incidence or what? Lucky I wasn’t talking about something worse…who knows what would have happened then
Olive Olive Olive!
I watched Little Miss Sunshine last weekend on DVD and quite enjoyed it. The central character is a little girl named Olive, and the film revolves around her mixed bag of a family and their road trip to make the little miss sunshine finals.
Anyhow, I wonder if watching the film had anything to do with my going to the supermarket the next day and buying not one olive product, but three!!!!
I bought a jar of stuffed olives, olive dip and olive bread. I didn’t even think about it when I did it but I didn’t realise I was buying more than one olive product (they were purchased at different shops). And it wasn’t until I was at work on Tues when someone commented on my olive bread that made me stop and think about my olive filled weekend!
I think I might like olives. What do you think?
